- The contenders of "The Glee Project" share some of their personal photos. Here’s what Lindsay had to say.
This was a candid shot taken by a friend when I was on a walk with her. I have always believed that life is never too busy, scary, crazy or hard to spare a moment just to smell the flowers. - This was my brother's wedding day. I was a bridesmaid for my sister-in-law. I was asked to sing "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait, and give a speech to my brother. I was so honored to give my brother away to his amazing bride, and I will never forget bending down for this photo thinking, "Now's the time to be gangster." My brother promptly called me a dork, and his wife said I looked hood. I didn't.
- This photo is the quintessential shot of me at an amusement park. I will always be eating something incredibly unhealthy without a care about the calories. My friend and I couldn't resist the deep-fried Twinkie stand. It was delicious, and it was a riot trying to convince everyone else to try it.
- This was a photo taken at the Gallo Center for the Arts in my hometown, Modesto, CA. I was singing in the first Valley's Got Talent competition, and I won first place and a scholarship that helped pay my way through another semester at my junior college. It was such a blessing to sing for such a large audience, and to be considered talented enough to win first over the other incredible talents in the competition. I was very humbled, but also proud that I was able to sing my heart out and leave it all on that stage. It was exhilarating and a moment I will never forget.
- This was taken at a lovely orchard called Apple Hill. I was watching the beginnings of one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen. This photo is that moment captured forever. I remember standing there watching the sun go down over orchards upon orchards of apple trees thinking, "God is incredible." I couldn't not believe in a Creator after seeing that incredible sight.
- This was taken by my mother while we were enjoying the beach at sunset (of course). I love the ocean and everything about it. It is wild, full of mysteries, and it is powerful. I feel like I am in the presence of a king when I walk on the beach, and I love the smell of sea salt in the wind. Silly, but it's the little things like a simple walk on the beach that make life wonderful.
- This was the second time I played Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”. I had suggested to my director that I take a moment in the show to sit and read because it's what I would do if I had a new book. He loved the idea and immediately incorporated it. I identify with Belle a great deal because she is such a bookworm and loves to get lost in stories and the possibilities life has to offer. This photo isn't just me playing a character; I am actually playing myself.
- This photo was taken by a good friend while I was wading through the creek behind my house. This was a wonderful summer and a perfect time in my life. I love to be outside and enjoy nature. Clearly, I also really appreciate a good sunset.
- I was in San Francisco searching for a four leafed clover. They are very hard to find, but I love this photo because I can tell that I had been looking for a while, but still wasn't frustrated. I never found the clover, but I did find a dandelion to make a wish on. I'm always looking for the silver lining.
- This was my first Cinderella, and it was such a wonderful experience. The character of Cinderella taught me to never give up on dreaming, wishes, and the strength of will and endurance. I loved singing the song "My Own Little Corner" because I got to sing away with abandon. It's hard for me not to smile when I'm singing.
- My brothers are everything in the world to me. I am a huge family girl, and this photo session was a ridiculous day full of laughter and jokes. We rarely take anything seriously, including family photos. My brothers teach me to be honest, hardworking, loving, and easygoing. They are the best teachers I have ever had.
- I'm a very adventurous and gung-ho girl. My friends and I decided to strip off some layers and swim in the creek on a whim, and it turned into a water war. I definitely lost, but it was one of the happiest moments of my life. Good friends and good memories.
- This was taken right after I closed “Peter Pan” in the Bay Area. My friend and I were determined to stay in touch with the kid in us, and we ran for the swing set. This picture reminds me to always remember my childhood, remember how to be carefree, and remember to be quick to smile.
- I played Laurey Williams in my junior college's production of Rogers & Hammerstein’s "Oklahoma!" I was still in high school at the time, and I can say that it was a turning point for me in my singing career. My vocal director pushed me and my voice to a potential that I never thought I could reach, and my acting director gave me incredible pearls of wisdom about the growth of my character, and that the character was transforming me from a teenage girl into a young woman. I also truly learned to dance in this show, and I look back on the production as a period of change and betterment in me as a person and as a performer.
- This photo is one of my favorite photos ever taken of me. I was sixteen and going to prom at my friends high school. The dress was made for me by a friend, and I refused to wear heels because I hated them at the time and I wanted to look like myself. Prom was on a boat in the harbor of San Francisco and a lot of the girls were afraid to go on deck because it was slippery. I was very proud I stuck to the real me because my sneakers did just fine on deck and I enjoyed a gorgeous view of the city lights because of them.

She is the best girl in the world and is also one of the silliest/funniest/cutest things alive. We were taking photos for a friends website and we both had a hard time keeping straight faces through the shenanigans. We had just arrived home from The Glee Project auditions in Long Beach!
- This was my first real lead in a show. I was seventeen, playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and I remember this scene being a riot. I didn't know how many ridiculous facial expressions I was able to make until I saw the stills from our tech rehearsal. God awful. However, it made me realize that I wasn't as bad at comedic acting as I thought I was. However, I'm still pretty bad... Haha.
- This picture was taken at my 19th birthday party. It was such a hoot. My friends threw a big bash for me, and my friends Emily (top), Roni (second down), Roxanne (bottom) and I somehow came up with the idea to take this photo. I STILL can't remember why we did, but I laugh every time I see it.
- My brothers really raised me under a heavy funny bone. They bring out the dork in me, and to this day we do not take family photos seriously. This was one of our best shots. I think we definitely gave my poor mother a few grays that day. Good memories :)
- This was backstage at the second Beauty and the Beast production I was in. I always dusted my golden glitter onto our Lumiere, and there was just enough glitter in the puff for the last performance. I remember Jacob (Lumiere) and I kept talking to each other like we were two busybodies in a hair salon. I didn't want to say goodbye to that cast after the show ended. We really bonded, and it was like leaving my family behind.
- This was taken in a natural reserve about forty-five minutes outside my hometown called Knight's Ferry. I'm just being a dork. Again.
- This was taken during a mic check for my junior college's production of Oklahoma. We would always stand in a line and sing so the sound operator could gauge our levels. This particular night, we burst into "Seasons of Love" from RENT, and I can honestly say it was magic. Little moments like those are never forgotten, and the fact that it was captured on camera makes it even more special.
- This was taken during a final tech rehearsal of Peter Pan. I got to play Wendy when I was eighteen, and I got to fly on stage. It was the most INCREDIBLE feeling. The harnesses hurt like crazy, but it was so awesome. I couldn't stop laughing when I was up in the air. My Michael and my John were equally as excited, as you can see, and I will never forget erupting into giggles every night when the curtain went down after "I'm Flying."
- This was my second time performing the role of Cinderella, and I learned SO much in this production -- acting, dancing, technicality for the voice. It was a lovely experience, and I was given a lot more freedom with the character, making her a bit of a dork as well as a dreamer. I'm using that broom as a fake gun for my African safari.
- This was taken during a performance of Steel Magnolias. I had the privilege of playing Shelby in my first professional stage production. I was only sixteen at the time, and I have to say that this show was a big turning point for me as an actress. The other women in the show were PHENOMENAL actresses, and I was fresh from a junior college beginning acting class. I was definitely a guppy in a lake of big fish. They were so gentle with me and very nurturing. They all became my family, and I can say that I will never forget the fun, the laughter, the tears, and the incredible effort that cast put forth to create such a good show. The entire experience was a riot. Definitely some of the best times I've ever had in my life.
