Robert announces this week's homework theme: Vulnerability!
- Some of the contestants are thrilled.
- Others, not so much.
Robert tells the group that the homework song is Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You."
- Again, some of the contestants are excited!
- But others aren't.
- The group gets ready to divide lines.
Mario does not want to compromise on the line he wants.
Michael gives his line up for Mario, but even then Mario isn't happy.
Robert gets ready to introduce the guest judge.
The guest judge is Cory Monteith!
Cory explains that as actors, the contestants need to really access their emotions as they perform.
- The group sets up the stage!
- The group begins their performance!
- The group sounds awesome, and is really in touch with their emotions.
It's a difficult song to pull off, but the Glee Project cast hits it out of the park!
Afterwards, Cory and Robert congratulate the group on their great performance.
Cory gives the group his feedback.
- For some, his feedback was constructive criticism.
- For others, his feedback was extremely positive!
Cory picks Nellie as this week's homework winner! She is shocked, but super grateful!
- The group begins to work on this week's music video song, "Everybody Hurts" by REM!
Erik tells the group that the focus of this week's video is bullying.
Erik asks the contestants to tell the group about their individual experiences with bullying.
Shanna breaks down and tells the group about how she was made fun of in school.
Abraham explains how he was taunted in school.
Blake tearfully shares his own experience with bullies, and his regret that he didn't stand up for certain kids when he had the chance.
Lily admits that in middle school, she was the bully.
Michael rocks out in the recording studio!
Shanna impresses- as always!
Nellie tells Cory that the day beforehand was the ten year anniversary of the death of her sister, and that she'll try to capture that emotion in her performance.
In the studio, Nellie sounds great!
Ali gets some feedback that she isn't thrilled with.
Mario has some trouble hitting certain notes.
Aylin sounds great!
- She tells the group about how the voice session was very emotional for her.
Nellie gets ready to film the music video.
Lily has some trouble lip-syncing on set.
Robert and Zach are impressed with the quality of acting that the contestants are showing.
Blake is a really amazing actor.
- The contestants that are not filming at the moment watch the others.
On set, Charlie takes his bully persona to heart and takes Mario's cane- a dangerous stunt that Erik did NOT tell him to do!
Ali gets very intense on film!
So does Lily!
Zach is shocked at Lily's convincing performance as a bully. The judges are very pleased with the work of the contestants. What a great video shoot!
- Things get heated on set!
- But it's okay, it's just acting.
- The music video looks great.
- The contestants all went above and beyond this week and really impressed the judges, but someone has to go home. Who will it be?
The judges tell Blake that they all unanimously agreed that he had the strongest performance of the group this week.
Blake is thrilled.
- The judges narrow the group down to five contestants.
Zach tells Nellie that she needs to commit more and be more open.
The judges scold Charlie for taking Mario's cane during the video shoot, and Charlie apologizes to Mario.
Charlie nervously awaits his last chance performance.
Mario practices in his dressing room.
Lily rehearses her song.
- The judges prepare to hear the bottom three.
Lily rocks out!
- The judges love her!
Ryan tells Lily that he's worried because she's not enough of an underdog.
Lily breaks down and tells the judges that she's not always the strong, confident person she pretends to be.
Charlie sings a beautiful rendition of Coldplay's "Fix You."
Charlie sounds wonderful, and really wow's the judges.
Ryan tells Charlie that he's exactly what the show needs and that Ryan was very inspired by his performance.
Charlie explains that he didn't think about the fact that taking Mario's cane could be dangerous.
Ryan tells Charlie that he did a great job.
Mario performs "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
Ryan tells Mario that he needs to be less defensive when he gets notes from the judges.
Mario tells the judges that he understands and he hopes he is given another opportunity to show himself to the judges. He apologizes to Nikki.
- The contestants nervously await the callback list.
- The judges were so impressed by the contestants that they don't know who to send home!
- Meanwhile, there is conflict between the contestants. Mario criticizes the other singers and questions why he was in the bottom three.
Robert puts up the callback list.
- The bottom three leave to check the list.
- Surprise! Everyone is called back!
Everyone is so excited to get another chance at winning The Glee Project!
Everyone is really happy.
